2nd poem of 30 poems in 30 Days

April 3, 2013

a poem made on the

(paraphrased) first line of a famous poem:

would i ever hope to see

a poem as lovely as a tree,

whose waving arms and joyful leaves

dance the dappled canopy

or would i ever hope to try

a poem as lovely as the sky,

to somehow match it’s wide expanse

with words that have the wings to fly?

surely a poem could never be

even half as lovely as the water,

our deep blue Mother Ocean

and her laughing River Daughter…

i will never hope to hear

a poem so lovely, that is clear

but a poem is a mirror ride

that takes us to these things inside.
